The application shall identify the extent to which
the proposed anthracite coal surface mining activities may result in
contamination, diminution or interruption of any water supply within the
proposed permit or adjacent area. If contamination, pollution, diminution or
interruption may result, then the description shall identify the means to
restore or replace the affected water supply in accordance with Subchapters B,
C or D (relating to surface anthracite coal mines: minimum environmental
protection performance standards; anthracite bank removal and reclamation:
minimum environmental protection performance standards; and anthracite refuse
disposal: minimum environmental protection performance standards), including
cost calculations. The Department will notify the owner of any potentially
affected supply.
