34 Pa. Code § 11.42 - Quarries
Employment of minors between 16 and 18 years of age is permitted in quarries but such minors shall be prohibited from engaging in any of the following occupations in quarries:
(1) Drilling, shot firing or assisting in
loading or tamping holes.
(2) Face
cleaning.
(3) Attaching blocks to
chains for cable hoisting.
(4)
Operating or assisting in operating steam, air or electric shovels, or in any
other occupation prohibited by section 5 of the act (43 P. S. §
46).
