52 Pa. Code § 33.42 - Switches marked by lamps
(a)
Reflectorized switch targets may not be installed on either of the following
items:
(1) Switch stands on yard tracks over
which there is a substantial movement at night.
(2) Switch stands connected with a main track
or passing siding track, except if the track is used only in daylight, or is
protected by automatic block signals, cab signals, or train controls, or by a
distant switch signal or indicator in manual block or train order
territory.
(b) Any
existing reflectorized targets on the switch stands enumerated in subsection
(a) shall be replaced by self-illuminating lamps.
(c) For the purpose of this section, a
substantial movement on yard tracks generally shall consist of five or more
switching or train movements after sunset and before sunrise on any
night.
