58 Pa. Code § 635a.9 - Surrender
(a) After the first
two cards are dealt to the player, the player may elect to discontinue play on
his hand for that round by surrendering 1/2 of his Spanish 21 Wager. All
decisions to surrender shall be made prior to the player indicating whether he
wishes to double down as permitted under §
635a.10 (relating to Double Down
Wager; rescue), split pairs as permitted under §
635a.11 (relating to splitting
pairs), stand or draw. If the first card dealt to the dealer is:
(1) Not an ace or 10 value card, the dealer
shall immediately collect 1/2 of the wager and return 1/2 to the
player.
(2) An ace or 10 value
card, the dealer shall place the player's wager on top of the player's cards.
When the dealer's second card is revealed, the hand shall be settled by
immediately collecting the entire wager if the dealer has Blackjack or
collecting 1/2 of the wager and returning 1/2 of the wager to the player if the
dealer does not have Blackjack.
(b) If the player has made an Insurance Wager
and then elects to surrender, each wager will be settled separately in
accordance with subsection (a) and §
635a.8 (relating to Insurance
Wager).
