S.D. Admin. R. 61:15:07:03 - Portable fire extinguishers
Portable fire extinguishers must be provided in each school occupancy and shall be inspected and maintained in accordance with NFPA 10, "Standards for Portable Fire Extinguishers," 2013 edition. Vaporizing liquid extinguishers containing carbon tetrachloride or chlorobromomethane may not be installed or used in any location for fire protection. Soda-acid, foam, loaded stream, antifreeze, and water fire extinguishers of the inverting type may not be recharged or placed in service for fire protection. Portable extinguishers shall be installed near food-processing equipment.
