S.D. Admin. R. 67:42:18:05 - Closing an application or license
The licensing agency must close an application for a kinship foster parent if
(1) The applicant voluntarily withdraws the application; or
(2) The applicant fails or refuses to provide the requested information needed for the evaluation and home study.
The licensing agency shall close the license for a kinship foster parent when twelve months have passed from the date of licensure and the kinship child for whom the kinship foster parent was licensed is no longer placed in the home.
