Tenn. Comp. R. & Regs. 1680-03-02-.06 - NAMED BRIDGE AND HIGHWAY SIGNS ON FREEWAYS AND EXPRESSWAYS
(1) Bridges or highways that have been
designated by the Tennessee General Assembly as a memorial or commemorative
bridge, and that have been rebuilt or widened, will retain their legislative
designation if there is no change in the route number or no significant
realignment of the route.
(2) All
commemorative bridge or highway signs shall conform to the specifications as
prescribed for the standard TN-26 sign in the current edition of the
Tennessee Supplement to Standard Highway Signs, as adopted in
Rule 1680-3-1-.04. All interstate bridges will be signed using a plaque as
opposed to the standard green highway type sign.
