16 Tex. Admin. Code § 22.4 - Computation of Time
(a) Counting Days.
In computing any period of time prescribed or allowed by this chapter, by order
of the commission or any administrative law judge, or by any applicable
statute, the period shall begin on the day after the act, event, or default in
question. The period shall conclude on the last day of the designated period
unless that day is a day the commission is not open for business, in which
event the designated period runs until the end of the next day on which the
commission is open for business.
(b) Extensions. Unless otherwise provided by
statute, the time for filing any documents may be extended, upon the filing of
a motion, prior to the expiration of the applicable period of time, showing
that there is good cause for such extension of time and that the need for the
extension is not caused by the neglect, indifference, or lack of diligence of
the party making the motion.
