16 Tex. Admin. Code § 68.75 - Responsibilities of the Registered Accessibility Specialist
(a) A registered
accessibility specialist may set and collect fees for services rendered but
must submit to the department fees received on behalf of the department no
later than 30 days after receipt.
(b) A registered accessibility specialist
must secure written authorization:
(1) from an
owner prior to performing a plan review, inspection, or related activity of a
building or facility with an estimated construction cost of less than $50,000
or that is not subject to the Act; and
(2) from the department prior to performing a
plan review, inspection, or related activity for a building or facility that
will be leased or occupied by an agency of the State of Texas.
(c) A registered accessibility
specialist must maintain project files for a period of one year following the
closure of the project in TABS.
(d)
A registered accessibility specialist is required to upload a change in the
estimated date of completion of construction within 30 days of receipt from the
owner.
(e) A registered
accessibility specialist must provide written notification to the department of
changes to their contact information within 30 calendar days of a change
occurring.
