16 Tex. Admin. Code § 9.301 - Adoption by Reference of NFPA 54
(a)
Effective September 1, 2020, except as modified in the remaining sections of
this subchapter, the Commission adopts by specific reference the provisions
established by the National Fire Protection Association in its 2018 edition of
the National Fuel Gas Code, commonly referred to as NFPA 54 or Pamphlet 54.
Nothing in this section or subchapter shall prevent the Commission, after
notice, from adopting additional requirements, whether more or less stringent,
for individual situations to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the
general public. Any documents or parts of documents incorporated by reference
into these rules shall be a part of these rules as if set out in
full.
(b) Effective September 1,
2020, the Commission also adopts by reference all other NFPA publications or
portions of those publications referenced in NFPA 54 which apply to LP-gas
activities only. The adopted pamphlets referenced in NFPA 54 are:
(1) NFPA 30A, Code for Motor Fuel Dispenser
Facilities and Repair Garages, 2018 edition;
(2) NFPA 37, Standard for the Installation
and Use of Stationary Combustion Engines and Gas Turbines, 2018
edition;
(3) NFPA 51, Standard for
the Design and Installation of Oxygen-Fuel Gas Systems for Welding, Cutting,
and Allied Processes, 2018 edition;
(4) NFPA 52, Vehicular Fuel Systems Code,
2016 edition;
(5) NFPA 58,
Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code, 2017 edition, as amended in Subchapter E of this
chapter (relating to Adoption by Reference of NFPA 58 (LP-Gas Code));
(6) NFPA 70, National Electrical Code, 2017
edition;
(7) NFPA 82, Standard on
Incinerators and Waste, and Linen Handling Systems and Equipment, 2014
edition;
(8) NFPA 88A, Standard for
