16 Tex. Admin. Code § 9.401 - Adoption by Reference of NFPA 58
(a)
Effective September 1, 2020, except as modified in this subchapter, the
Commission adopts by specific reference the provisions established by the
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) in its 2017 edition of the
Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code, commonly referred to as NFPA 58 or Pamphlet 58.
Nothing in this section or subchapter shall prevent the Commission, after
notice, from adopting additional requirements, whether more or less stringent,
for individual situations to protect the health, safety and welfare of the
general public. Any documents or parts of documents incorporated by reference
into these rules shall be a part of these rules as if set out in
full.
(b) Effective September 1,
2020, the Commission also adopts by reference all other NFPA publications or
portions of those publications referenced in NFPA 58, §2.1, which apply to
LP-gas activities only. The adopted pamphlets referenced in NFPA 58 are:
(1) NFPA 10, Standard for Portable Fire
Extinguishers, 2013 edition;
(2)
NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems, 2016
edition;
(3) NFPA 15, Standard for
Water Spray Fixed Systems for Fire Protection, 2017 edition;
(4) NFPA 25, Standard for the Inspection,
Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems, 2017
edition;
(5) NFPA 30, Flammable and
Combustible Liquids Code, 2015 edition;
(6) NFPA 30A, Code for Motor Fuel Dispensing
Facilities and Repair Garages, 2015 edition;
(7) NFPA 51B, Standard for Fire Prevention in
Use of Cutting and Welding Processes, 2014 edition;
(8) NFPA 54, National Fuel Gas Code, 2018
edition, as amended in Subchapter D of this chapter (relating to Adoption by
Reference of NFPA 54 (National Fuel Gas Code));
(9) NFPA 55, Standard for the Storage, Use,
