19 Tex. Admin. Code § 2.234 - Approval Required for an Applied Associate Degree
A public junior college, technical college, state college, or any general academic institution authorized by statute to offer the program may request approval for a new applied associate degree.
(1) A proposed applied associate degree is
subject to Assistant Commissioner approval under §
2.4(2) of this
chapter (relating to Types of Approval Required), and in accordance with
applicable provisions under subchapter A of this subchapter (relating to
General Provisions), except as specifically provided by this rule.
(2) An institution in the Texas State
Technical College system may offer the associate of applied science degree in
accordance with the provisions of Texas Education Code, §
135.04.
