19 Tex. Admin. Code § 231.45 - English Language Arts, Grades 6-8
An assignment in a departmentalized classroom for English Language Arts, Grades 6-8, for a holder of a valid elementary, secondary, or all-level certificate is allowed with one of the following certificates.
(1) Bilingual Generalist: Early
Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).
(2) Bilingual Generalist: Grades
4-8.
(3) Core Subjects: Early
Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).
(4) Core Subjects with Science of Teaching
Reading: Early Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).
(5) Core Subjects: Grades 4-8.
(6) Core Subjects with Science of Teaching
Reading: Grades 4-8.
(7) Elementary
English (Grades 1-8).
(8)
Elementary teacher certificate plus 18 semester credit hours in
English.
(9) English as a Second
Language Generalist: Early Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).
(10) English as a Second Language Generalist:
Grades 4-8.
(11) English Language
Arts and Reading: Grades 4-8.

English Language Arts and Reading with Science of Teaching Reading: Grades
4-8.
(13) English Language Arts and
Reading/Social Studies: Grades 4-8.
