22 Tex. Admin. Code § 82.6 - Tuition Reimbursement Payments
(a)
Pursuant to Texas Government Code Chapter 656 (regarding Job Notices and
Training), the Board may spend public funds as appropriate to pay the salary,
tuition and other fees, travel and living expenses, training stipend, expense
of training materials, and other necessary expenses of an instructor, student
or other participant in a training or education program.
(b) An administrator or employee of the Board
may seek reimbursement for a training or education program offered by an
institution of higher education or private or independent institution of higher
education as defined by §
61.003 of the Texas
Education Code. Such reimbursement shall be conditioned upon the successful
completion by the administrator or employee of the program course at an
accredited institution of higher education.
(c) Reimbursement tuition payments must be
authorized by the Board's executive director prior to the disbursement of
payment.
