25 Tex. Admin. Code § 49.3 - Oral Health Improvement Program
The department may perform public oral health screening and surveillance across the State of Texas.
(1) Regional dental teams perform open mouth
screening to assess the oral health of individuals.
(2) Regional dentists issue written findings,
which may include recommendation for a comprehensive exam.
(3) The data collected from oral health
surveillance may include:
(A) demographic
data;
(B) dental history;
(C) history of tooth decay;
(D) presence of dental sealants;
and
(E) early and urgent dental
needs.
