26 Tex. Admin. Code § 259.265 - Cost Effective Delivery of Adaptive Aid
(a) A DSA must
ensure that if an adaptive aid is delivered to an individual by a commercial
carrier, such as United Parcel Services or the United States Postal Service,
the most cost-effective carrier is used.
(b) A DSA may not use a commercial carrier to
provide overnight delivery unless it is necessary to meet the time frame for a
medical supply immediately needed by the individual, as described in
§259.263(c)(2) of this division (relating to Time Frames for Providing
Adaptive Aids to Individuals), and there is no other more cost-effective means
to deliver the adaptive aid within that time frame.
