26 Tex. Admin. Code § 356.2106 - Program Participant's Orientation
(a) A center must ensure
that an orientation is provided to a program participant verbally and in writing. The orientation must be documented and comply with the requirements
in this chapter, as appropriate, and the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (42 United States Code (U.S.C.) Chapter 110) regulations. The
orientation must include:
(1) an explanation of services available;
(2)
the center's termination policy;
(3) program participants' rights;
(4) a nondiscrimination statement, in accordance with the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (42 U.S.C.
Chapter 110);
(5) complaint procedures;
(6) contact
information for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), as specified in the center's contract with HHSC;
(7) safety and security procedures;
(8) confidentiality and limits of
confidentiality, as well as victim-advocate privilege and limits of victim-advocate privilege;
(9)
waivers of liability; and
(10) a wellness check for all family members that addresses each person's
immediate needs.
(b) If a center is unable to provide the program participant's orientation in
writing, the center must maintain documentation of the reason.
