26 Tex. Admin. Code § 503.4 - General Provisions for Licensure
(a) All
first-time applications for a license are applications for an initial
license.
(b) The applicant must be
at least 18 years of age.
(c) A
separate license is required for each place of business.
(d) A center may not admit a client in labor
until it has received an initial license.
(e) The licensed location must be in
Texas.
(f) The owner of the center
is responsible for ensuring the center's compliance with the Act and this
chapter.
(g) A license must be
renewed biannually.
(h) The license
shall be displayed in a public area of the center that is readily accessible to
patients, employees and visitors.
(i) The license may not be transferred or
assigned from one person to another person.
(j) A center shall have the financial ability
to carry out its functions under the Act and this chapter.
