26 Tex. Admin. Code § 745.347 - How long is an initial license valid?
(a) An initial license is valid for six
months from the date we issue it.
(b) We may renew an initial license for up to
an additional six months. You may only have an initial license for a maximum of
one year.
(c) The initial license
expires when we issue or deny you a full license, even if the period for the
initial license has not yet expired at the time the full license is issued or
denied.
