37 Tex. Admin. Code § 355.600 - Visitation
(a) Residents have the right to receive
visitors and to communicate subject only to the limitations authorized in
§
355.602 of this title.
(b) Residents shall be allowed visitation by
a parent, legal guardian, or custodian at least once every seven calendar days
for at least 30 minutes or the equivalent over multiple visits.
(c) The parent, legal guardian, or custodian
of the resident shall be provided a copy of the visitation schedule as soon as
possible after the resident's admission to the facility.
(d) A registry of all visitors shall be
maintained to document the name and relationship to the resident.
(e) A parent, legal guardian, or custodian
shall not be denied private, in-person communication with his or her child for
reasonable periods of time. The time, place, and conditions of the private,
in-person communication may be regulated only to prevent disruption of
scheduled activities and to maintain the safety of the
facility/program.
