4 Tex. Admin. Code § 229.2 - Wildland Firefighting
(a) Wildland
firefighting is an eligible activity that may satisfy mandatory CFT
requirements for certified and insured prescribed burn managers. To receive CFT
credit for wildland firefighting, the certified and insured prescribed burn
manager must:
(1) be under the direction of a
responsive organization that manages wildland fires which create a substantial
risk of causing imminent harm to nearby property or persons;
(2) have been a requested resource assigned
to a firefighting position upon check in;
(3) provide the incident commander with an
Incident Personnel Performance Rating form upon assignment to be completed for
documentation of the individual's performance; and
(4) submit an Incident Personnel Performance
Rating form to a lead burn instructor or the Board for review.
(b) CFT credit for wildland
firefighting activities may not exceed three hours per two-year certification
period.
(c) Final approval of
wildland firefighting activities by the Board is required to be eligible for
CFT credit.
