43 Tex. Admin. Code § 210.2 - Delegation of Approval and Signature Authority
(a) Purpose. The
purpose of this section is to establish the approval authority and
responsibilities for executing contracts required by the department.
(b) Applicability. This section applies to
all contracts, interagency contracts, interlocal contracts, as well as informal
letters of agreement, memoranda, and agreements.
(c) Board Delegation. The board delegates the
following duties and authorities to the executive director of the department:
(1) the duty and authority to execute
contracts, to include approving and signing contracts on behalf of the
department;
(2) the authority to
further delegate contract approval and signature authority to the executive
director's designees for contracts with a dollar value up to and including
$1,000,000; and
(3) the authority
to further delegate contract approval and signature authority to a deputy
executive director of the department for contracts with a dollar value
exceeding $1,000,000 as allowed by Government Code, §2261.254.
