Utah Admin. Code R156-47b-303 - Renewal Cycle - Procedures
(1) Under
Subsection
58-1-308(1)(a),
the renewal date for the two-year renewal cycle for licensees under Title 58,
Chapter 47b, Massage Therapy Practice Act is established in Section
R156-1-308a.
(3) Under Subsection
58-47b-303(3) an
expired massage assistant in-training license may not be renewed, but the
Division in collaboration with the Board may extend the license for a period
proportionate to a hardship experienced by the massage assistant in-training,
if the massage assistant in-training presents evidence in writing satisfactory
to the Division and Board that:
(a) the
circumstance of hardship arose beyond the massage assistant in-training's
control to prevent the completion of the licensure process; and
(b) the massage assistant in-training is on a
course reasonably expected to lead to licensure as a massage assistant, such as
making reasonable progress toward completing the required hours of education
and training and passing the required exam.
