Utah Admin. Code R251-301-2 - Definitions
(1) "Center" means a community correctional
halfway house facility designed to facilitate an offender's readjustment to
private life.
(2) "Educational or
vocational training" means that an offender is participating or is enrolled in
an educational or vocational training program that is recognized as being fully
accredited by the state, which includes academic, applied-technology or
correspondence courses, and in which the student is matriculated or has
declared intent to be involved in program-completion or degree-attainment
within a reasonable period of time.
(3) "Minimum wage" means compensation paid
for hours worked in accordance with federally established guidelines.
(4) "Offender" means a person under the
jurisdiction of the Department of Corrections residing in a community
correctional center.
