Utah Admin. Code R27-7-2 - Reporting Accidents and Violations of Motor Vehicle Laws
(1) If an accident involving a state vehicle
occurs, either the authorized driver of the vehicle or the employing agency
shall notify the division, the Division of Risk Management, and the agency's
management, within 24 hours.
(2)
Any authorized driver who, while operating a state vehicle, receives a citation
for violating a motor vehicle law shall immediately report the receipt of the
citation to their respective supervisor. Failure to report the receipt of a
citation may result in the withdrawal, suspension, or revocation of state
driving privileges.
(3) The agency
shall determine if an accident was preventable.
(a) A driver may appeal an agency
determination to the Driver Safety Committee in writing within 30 days from the
date the agency decision is issued.
