Utah Admin. Code R313-15-1005 - Disposal of Specific Wastes
(1) A
licensee or registrant may dispose of the following licensed or registered
material as if it were not radioactive:
(a)
1.85 kBq (0.05 uCi), or less, of hydrogen-3 or carbon-14 per gram of medium
used for liquid scintillation counting; and
(b) 1.85 kBq (0.05 uCi) or less, of
hydrogen-3 or carbon-14 per gram of animal tissue, averaged over the weight of
the entire animal.
(2) A
licensee or registrant shall not dispose of tissue pursuant to Subsection
R313-15-1005(1)(b) in a manner that would permit its use either as food for
humans or as animal feed.
(3) The
licensee or registrant shall maintain records in accordance with Section
R313-15-1109.
