Utah Admin. Code R501-21-4 - Administration and Direct Services
(1) In
addition to this rule, each outpatient treatment program shall comply with
Rules R501-1, and R501-14.
(2) An
outpatient treatment program shall:
(a)
provide general outpatient treatment on a weekly basis, or less than weekly
only with individualized clinical justification;
(b) only provide intensive outpatient
treatment, if offered, for between 9 and 19 hours weekly for adults, and six or
more hours weekly for adolescents; and
(c) ensure the following when clients are
present in the facility for six or more consecutive hours:
(i) client meals;
(ii) administration of any required
medications;
(iii) maximum group
sizes according to building capacity; and
(iv) a physical environment that provides for
the comfort of clients.
(3) An outpatient treatment provider that
provides only telehealth services may apply for a single license for one
centralized site to cover any telehealth services offered and shall ensure that
any telehealth services provided to out of state clients are done so in
accordance with the telehealth laws of the client's state of residence.
