Utah Admin. Code R547-16-5 - Distribution of Funds
(1) Upon the
minor's transition or termination from the custody of the division, the
division shall provide the minor with any funds remaining in an account
described in Subsection
80-5-304(1), with
the exception of funds received as Social Security Income, which shall be
returned to the Social Security Administration.
(2) If the division is unable to locate the
minor within 12 months of transition or termination, the division shall
consider the funds abandoned and transfer the funds to Utah Unclaimed Property
within 30 days, in accordance with Section
67-4a-201.
