Utah Admin. Code R623-9-3 - Definitions
In addition to the terms defined in Section 20A-1-102, the following definitions apply to this rule:
(1)
"Chain of custody" means the sequence of custody, control, and transfer of
materials.
(2) "Intelligent mail
barcode services" or "IMb" means using a barcode that complies with USPS
standards for IMb which provides tracking data for ballots through the postal
system.
(3) "Personally
identifiable information" or "PII" means information that can be used to
identify, or infer the identity of the person to which the information
belongs.
(4) "Vendor" means a
company that prints, handles, sorts, or mails ballots on behalf of an election
officer.
(5) "Subcontractor" means
a business or person that carries out any portion of the work described in this
rule that is not performed by the vendor.
