Utah Admin. Code R649-3-5 - Identification
1. Every drilling and producible well shall
be identified by a sign posted on the derrick or in a conspicuous place near
the well.
2. The sign shall be of
durable construction. The lettering on the sign shall be kept in a legible
condition and shall be large enough to be legible under normal conditions at a
distance of 25 feet.
3. The wells
on each lease or property shall be numbered in nonrepetitive, logical, and
distinctive sequence. Each sign shall show the number or name of the well, the
name of the owner or operator, the lease name, and the location of the well by
quarter section, township, and range.
