Utah Admin. Code R650-203-2 - Waterway Markers
(1) On a river or
other natural or improved waterway, a buoy or other waterway marker that
depicts:
(a) an orange cross within an orange
diamond means "Boats Keep Out;"
(b)
an orange circle means "Controlled Area;"
(c) an orange diamond without a cross means
"Danger;" and
(d) an orange square
or rectangle means "Provides Information."
(2) A regulatory symbol depicted on a
waterway marker described in Subsection (1) shall be:
(a) colored international orange on a white
background; and
(b) any descriptive
wording within or accompanying the regulatory symbols shall be in black
lettering.
(3) If a
regulatory symbol is depicted on a buoy, an orange band shall encircle the buoy
near the water line and near the top of the buoy.
