Utah Admin. Code R650-208-1 - Backing Plates
On vessels where an assigned vessel number on the hull or superstructure would not be visible, the vessel owner may mount the vessel number and registration decals on a backing plate that is:
(1) attached to the forward half of the
vessel such that the number is visible from each side of the vessel;
and
(2) displayed as required by
Subsection
73-18-7(4) and
Rule R650-212.
