Utah Admin. Code R650-216-7 - Visible Range and Use of Non-Navigational Lights
(1) The operator of a vessel shall ensure the
vessel's masthead lights, all-around lights, side lights, and stern lights are
visible at the ranges set out in the below Table 1.

(2) A
vessel may only display lights as outlined in Table 1, except a vessel may
display:
(a) a spotlight or other
non-navigational light intermittently to locate a hazard to
navigation;
(b) non-navigational
lights during a federal or state permitted marine parade; or
(c) a spotlight or other non-navigational
light when the vessel is actively engaged in fishing, bow fishing, or
scientific research in a navigational channel when the vessel is being operated
at a wakeless speed.
