Utah Admin. Code R650-223-1 - Notification Required
(1) A vessel
operator shall immediately, and by the quickest means of communication
available, notify the nearest state park ranger or other law enforcement
officer of an accident that involves a vessel or a vessel's equipment if
because of the accident:
(a) a person dies or
disappears from a vessel under circumstances that indicate death;
(b) a person is injured and receives medical
treatment beyond first aid; or
(c)
the accident results in property damage of more than $2,000.
(2) The person making the
notification required by Subsection (1) shall include in the notification:
(a) the date, time, and location of the
accident;
(b) the name of each
person who died or disappeared because of the accident;
(c) the assigned number of any vessel
involved in the accident; and
(d)
the name and address of the owner and operator of any vessel involved in the
accident.
