Utah Admin. Code R651-104-4 - Appropriate Attributes for a State Park
Proposed State Parks should provide or possess:
(1) diverse, multi-use outdoor recreation
experiences;
(2) resources of
statewide significance, including areas of scenic beauty, recreational utility,
or of historic, archaeologic, or scientific interest;
(3) features, opportunities, experiences, and
amenities that make the State Park's preservation important to the overall
quality of life for visitors to enjoy, including:
(a) unique scenic values or unique natural
attributes;
(b) outdoor recreation
areas or unmet services that are in demand by the public; and
(c) value or quality in illustrating or
interpreting the natural or cultural themes of Utah's heritage.
(4) sufficient acreage and the
capacity to generate necessary revenue to cover ongoing operating
costs.
