Utah Admin. Code R653-12-2 - Definitions
(1) As used in this rule:
(2) "Applicant" means a culinary water
provider who owns or operates a aqueduct which crosses the Wasatch Fault
Zone.
(3) "Aqueduct" means a closed
pressurized pipeline carrying culinary water supply that is buried underground,
although there may be short portions that are above ground.
(4) "Director" means the Director of the
Department of Natural Resources.
(5) "Division" means the Division of Water
Resources.
(6) "Project" means a
plan to study, design, or construct seismic resiliency improvements to an
aqueduct which crosses the Wasatch Fault Zone and which supplies culinary water
to a minimum of 20,000 Utah residents.
(7) "Wasatch Fault Zone" means the geographic
area of Utah described on the division's website at water.utah.gov.
