Utah Admin. Code R807-1-8 - Designation of Repositories
(1) Any facility,
other than a place of reburial, seeking to be designated as a repository shall
submit to the Museum:
(a) a completed Facility
Assessment Form, a copy of which may be obtained from the Museum; and
(b) any other information relating to the
facility's ability to provide adequate curation appropriate to the nature and
content of collections requested by the Museum.
(2) If the Museum determines that a facility
is able to provide adequate curation, the Museum will enter into a memorandum
of agreement that will designate that facility as a repository and ensure
continued adequate curation at that facility. The memoranda of agreement shall
include the following:
(a) reporting
provisions;
(b) provisions for
periodic review and monitoring; and
(c) conditions triggering the revocation of
collections from state lands.
(3) Any facility denied repository status may
appeal the Museum's decision within 30 days of the denial of status pursuant to
the procedures set forth in
R807-1-13 below.
