Utah Admin. Code R911-5-400 - [Effective 7/10/2025] Certifications and Accounts With National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician Certification
(1) An individual
licensed as an EMR, EMT, AEMT, or paramedic shall maintain a certification and
account with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
(2) The bureau may suspend or revoke the
license of an individual whose certification or account with the National
Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians has expired.

An individual who completed a paramedic course, but has not been recommended for licensure, may request to become licensed at the AEMT levels if:
(1) the paramedic course coordinator submits to the department a favorable letter of recommendation stating that the individual has successfully obtained the knowledge and skills of the AEMT level as required by this rule; and
(2) the individual successfully completes other application and testing requirements for an AEMT.
