Utah Admin. Code R926-15-1 - Purpose
(1) The primary purpose of this rule is to
identify the specific roadways designated as state scenic backways by the Utah
State Scenic Byways Committee in 1990, and any additions or deletions made by
that body since then, in order to preserve the historical record of those
designations and the general definition of the extents of these backways
provided by the committee at the time of designation.
(2) A secondary purpose of this rule is to
clarify the jurisdiction and limitations of authority for maintaining the
intrinsic qualities, quality of life, and wayfinding signs on scenic backway
routes.
