Utah Admin. Code R966-1-24 - Notices by United States Mail
(1) The
administrator shall send at least one written notice by first-class United
States mail to each apparent owner of unclaimed property held by the
administrator and valued at $100 or more.
(2) However, the administrator shall not send
a notice under this Section by first-class United States mail if the
administrator reasonably believes that a mailing by first-class United States
mail would not be received by the apparent owner.
(3) In the case of a security held in an
account for which the apparent owner had consented to receiving e-mail from the
holder, the administrator shall send notice by e-mail if the e-mail address of
the apparent owner is known to the administrator instead of by first-class
United States mail.
