Utah Admin. Code R986-700-707.1 - Initial Registration Fee Assistance
(1) The Department may pay an initial
registration fee per child to an approved provider.
(2) A provider must indicate on the Care
About Childcare website that the provider charges an initial registration fee
per child. If the indicator is marked, the provider must enter the amount of
the initial registration fee per child.
(3)
(a) An
initial registration fee may be paid up to the allowed amount for the provider
type. The allowable amount is a set amount determined by the
Department.
(b) The fee paid by the
Department may not cover the full initial registration charge.
(c) If a client has already paid an initial
registration fee, the provider will be expected to reimburse the parent for any
portion of the fee paid by the Department.
(4) The Department will only pay for one
initial registration fee per child per provider within a 12-month period, at
initial approval, or when a change of providers is reported. Annual
registration fees are not covered.
(5) Initial registration fees will not be
paid retroactively or prior to the date stated on the Care About Childcare
website.
