Utah Admin. Code R994-311-101 - Governmental Unit and Indian Tribe Requirements
(1) Governmental units and Indian Tribes
described in Subsection
35A-4-311(1)
will pay contributions in the same manner as other employers under Section
35A-4-302 unless they elect to
become reimbursable employers which are liable for payments in lieu of
contributions. A governmental unit or Indian tribe that elects to become a
reimbursable employer pays to the Department an amount equal to the regular
benefits and all of the extended benefits paid to former employees. These
reimbursements for benefits paid and other amounts due are payable monthly.
Reimbursable employers do not pay any administrative expenses of the
unemployment insurance program.
(2)
This state, as required by
35A-4-204(d)(ii),
shall reimburse the Department for all regular and extended benefits paid for
service performed in the employ of this state.
