Utah Admin. Code R994-508-106 - Notice of the Hearing
(1) All
interested parties will be notified by mail, at least seven days prior to the
hearing, of:
(a) the time and place of the
hearing;
(b) the right to be
represented at the hearing;
(c) the
legal issues to be considered at the hearing;
(d) the procedure for submitting written
documents;
(e) the consequences of
not participating;
(f) the
procedures and limitations for requesting a continuance or rescheduling;
and
(g) the procedure for
requesting an interpreter for the hearing, if necessary.
(2) When a new issue arises during the
hearing, advance written notice may be waived by the parties after a full
explanation by the ALJ of the issues and potential consequences.
(3) It is the responsibility of a party to
notify and make arrangements for the participation of the party's
representative and/or witnesses, if any.
(4) If a party has designated a person or
professional organization as its agent, notice will be sent to the agent which
will satisfy the requirement to give notice to the party.
