Utah Admin. Code R994-508-201 - Non-Attorney Representative Fees
(1) An
authorized representative who is not an attorney may not charge or receive a
fee for representing a claimant in an action before the Department without
prior approval by an ALJ or the Board. The Department is not responsible for
the payment of the fee, only the regulation and approval of the fee. The
Department does not regulate fees charged to employers or attorney's
fees.
(2) Fees will not be approved
in excess of 25 percent of the claimant's maximum potential regular benefit
entitlement.
