Wash. Admin. Code § 296-65-035 - Reciprocity
(1) The department
may recognize certifications issued by another state for asbestos workers or
supervisors provided that:
(a) The worker is
in possession of a currently valid certification from the other state;
and
(b) The department evaluates
the other state's qualification procedures and determines the certification to
be equivalent to the minimum requirements of this chapter.
(2) When the department's evaluation of
another state's qualification procedures identifies that equivalent
requirements are met, the department is authorized to issue a Washington state
certification upon receipt of a completed application and a completed approved
refresher course.
(3) When the
department's evaluation of another state's qualification procedures identifies
deficiencies, the department may require specific supplemental training and/or
examination before issuing a Washington state certification.
(4) Temporary certification can be issued if
requirements of subsection (2) of this section are met.
