W. Va. Code R. § 126-44P-4 - Summary of the Content Standards

4.1. The WV BE has the responsibility for establishing high quality educational standards for all education programs (W. Va. Code § 18-2E-1). The standards provide a framework for teachers of students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. This policy links the West Virginia College- and Career-Readiness Standards (WV CCRS) in ELA, math, and science with the alternate academic achievement standards. The alternate academic achievement standards are applicable for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities, i.e., students who are assessed with the West Virginia Alternate Assessment.
