W. Va. Code R. § 60-8-3 - Purpose and Goals
3.1. The
purpose of this rule is to establish an environmental excellence program that
promotes, rewards, and encourages superior environmental performance and
enhanced public involvement.
3.2.
Eligible facilities may participate at one of three levels: Bronze Leaf, Silver
Leaf, and Gold Leaf. The level of participation and the incentives granted are
based on the facility's environmental management system, environmental
performance goals, and public involvement.
3.3. Nothing in this rule authorizes any
violation of federal and/or state law, rule, regulation, and/or
legislation.
