W. Va. Code R. § 64-26-4 - Equipment
4.1. The following
basic items are required to be in good condition in any laboratory desiring
approval:
(a) Laboratory sink;
(b) Cabinets for reagents, small equipment,
etc.;
(c) Microscope and
lamp;
(d) Refrigerator of at least
6 cu. ft. capacity.
(e) Adequate
gas and electric outlets;
(f)
Adequate centrifuge;
(g) Adequate
glassware and reagents;
(i)
Adequate filing system;
(j) Current
laboratory reference tests.
4.2. The following equipment maintained in
good condition is also required for approval in syphilis serology.
(a) Serologic shaker and/or rotator; speed
should be regularly checked;
(b)
Adequate water bath facilities, with constant temperature control.
4.3. The following equipment
should be readily available and maintained in good condition, for use by the
laboratory:
(a) Hot air sterilizer of at
least 18* x 14" x 14" i. d. or equivalent;
(b) Autoclave;
(c) Balance and weights of suitable accuracy;
(d) Still or demineralizer,
properly operated.
