024-9 Wyo. Code R. §§ 9-1 - General Provisions
(a) Inspections
shall be done throughout the year on all concession facilities by Park
Superintendents and/or Division staff.
(b) A Concession Inspection Report forms will
be used to ensure all specific requirements are met and for documentation,
regardless of whose responsibility.
(c) Generally, the inspection will be
announced. However, limited prior notice may be given when necessary to ensure
that the Concessionaire or their designated representative will be available to
accompany the Division personnel performing the inspection. Discretion should
be used regarding appropriate time frames. For example, restaurant inspections
will not be conducted during busy meal periods.
(d) Inspections should be performed at least
annually. Concessions with continued problems or violations may be inspected
and evaluated as often as necessary to address the particular situation(s).
Non-conforming concessions may require more frequent inspections.
(e) Inspections may also be performed by
other government agencies including but not limited to the Department of
Environmental Quality, Division of Consumer Health, Department of Agriculture,
State Fire Marshall, BuRec and others as determined by the Division Director or
required by federal and/or state law.
(f) The Division Director may require a
concession to close for business temporarily when safety violations are present
or there is a lapse in insurance coverage. Under these circumstances, the
concession will not be allowed to reopen until the violations have been
corrected to the satisfaction of the Division Director. Should this occur more
than twice in one year the Division Director, with the approval of the
Department Director, may terminate the contract.
(g) The inspection forms will be filed and
may be used as a reference during the RFP procedure when current or past
Concessionaires are competing for a contract. Concessionaires may be awarded
extra points for having provided quality service to the public, documented by,
but not limited to:
(i) Visitor
surveys.
(ii) Letters from the
public.
(iii) Telephone
calls.
(iv) Inspection
reports.
(v) Contract
compliance.
