048-14 Wyo. Code R. §§ 14-8 - Nursing Services
(a) A medical
assistance facility shall have a nursing service program that provides 24-hour
services whenever a patient is in the facility and meets the following
requirements:
(i) The director of nursing
services shall:
(A) Be a Wyoming licensed
registered nurse.
(B) Determine the
type and number of nursing personnel and staff necessary to provide nursing
care; and
(C) Schedule adequate
numbers of licensed registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified
nursing assistants and other personnel to provide nursing care as
needed.
(ii) A
registered nurse shall be on duty at least eight hours per day, and the
director of nursing or another registered nurse designated as the directors
alternate shall be on call and available within 20 minutes at all
times.
(iii) All drugs and
biologicals shall be administered by a nurse, a physician, or a mid-level
practitioner according to;
(A) Federal and
state law and regulations, including applicable licensing
requirements.
